To celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop music, the virtual competition Hip-Hop FinFest returns with Volume 2: Wants are Needs Too! The competition will also be held next month when Financial Literacy Month is recognized. This year marks 20 years since he was first certified.
The competition is open to middle and high school students based in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Utilize your rapping, singing and songwriting skills to rhyme original hip hop his beats to share your wants and needs within your community.

Students entering the competition must be between the ages of 12 and 18 and reside in the United States, Canada, or the United States Virgin Islands. Submissions must be video performances only and at least he must include content from one of her FinFest Financial Literacy lessons. Students with winning songs selected by the jury will receive a studio in a backpack provided by Sony for their music and creative projects. The top three winners will receive cash prizes: 1st place will receive $1000, 2nd place will receive $500, and 3rd place will receive $250.

Judges for this year’s contest include Queen Herawin, a female rapper who is a member of New York hip-hop group Juggaknots.
