blue is the color of the sky: Nick and Victoria Bradfield Released a mini-album under the name (Rabbit Hole Studios). Nini and Vivi It contains live-recorded loops and features AI-generated art. Like most of the Bradfield clan’s work we’ve grown to love, this one is so meaningful that repeated listenings unfold its content even more, and what layers of compelling and moving mediation is there. It becomes clear layer by layer. They told me that these tracks were recorded while Victoria was pregnant and decided to release them now that she had a child. Take a moment, sit by yourself, put on your headphones and drink this. Find us at instagram.com/nini_vivi_art.
can you dig?: A self-described relative newcomer to the Athens scene Julia Newnt There is a new single out called “Fever”. It’s a brilliant realization of a pop tune perfectly wrapped in a classic arrangement worthy of Burt Bacharach, Phil Spector, Andrew Loog Oldham and Jack Nitzsche. Her voice is powerful and her timelessness. Let’s be honest, wearing this will make her wonder if she’s in 1968 or if she’s in 2023. Nyunt was also a featured guest last week at her Space satellite session on her Nuçi, which can be seen at nuci.org/satellite-sessions. Find her new single and a few more available tracks on Spotify.
