Saranac Lake — The lineup for the annual Music on the Green outdoor summer concert series was announced Thursday.
Since its inception in 2013, Music on the Green has brought performances of 60 different musical ensembles across a wide range of genres to the village of Saranac Lake.
This year, series organizers said: “We will do everything we can to make it an unforgettable celebration of music and community.”
Founded 10 years ago with a mission to promote vibrant downtown street life through Wednesday night musical performances, Music on the Green lives up to its founding statement.
Music on the Green takes place every Wednesday night from July 5th to August 9th from 7pm to 9pm at Riverside Park. Music on the Green is a free series rain or shine.
The series is organized by a volunteer board of Laura Cunningham, Jessica Collier, Kelly Brunett and Cassandra Hopkins.
This year’s lineup is as follows.
¯ 5th July: Roots and Blues from Los Blancos, Syracuse.
¯ July 12: Fenimore Blues from Saratoga Springs.
¯ July 19: Cargo from Ithaca, alternate country.
¯ July 26: Momojo, New Orleans Style Zydeco “Partygra”.
¯ August 2: High and Mighty Brass Band from Brooklyn.
̄ August 9: Cumbia’s Mull Mize and Latin music from Burlington, Vermont.
