In the middle of Pride Month, Sam Smith and Madonna’s “Valgar” topped this week’s song polls.
Music fans voted in a poll released on Friday (June 9). signboardchose the pop pair’s new song as their favorite new music release of the week.
“Vulgar” won over 45% of the votes, beating out new songs from BTS, Niall Horan, Rosalía and more.
Released on Friday on Capitol Records, the club-ready track is a pulsing dance anthem in which Smith proudly declares, “I know I’m beautiful when I’m called ‘bad’.” Madonna warns, “If you have sex with Sam.” You’re going to have sex with me tonight/So listen to me or I’ll break a banana. ”
“Vulgar” arrived after a brief teasing on social media when Smith suggested teaming up with Madonna with a nifty new branding called “S&M.”
BTS’s ‘Take Two’ is right behind ‘Vulgar’ in polls with 41% of votes, followed by Horan’s new album spectacle, show, playwhich received 9% of the vote.
