Tip City — The Tip City Area Arts Council has announced that the 2023 Canal Music Fest will take place on Saturday at Tip City Park.
This year’s event, hosted by Edison State Community College and Thrivent Financial Associate Matt Buehler, will feature shots through the heart – the Bon Jovi Experience, local favorites, Strangers and Tip City’s own zunells.
The 2023 Canal Music Fest will take place on Saturday 10th June at 6pm at City Park in Tip City. Food and drink will be served from 5pm. Vendors participating this year include Buckeye Burgers, Nou Street Food, Pa’s Pork, Raging Bull Wood Fired Pizza, Susie’s Big Dipper, Bolasko’s Concessions and Kona Ice. Skull Dolls face painting will also be held at the venue.
“We are so excited to host this event and especially excited to welcome special guests from Greenville, South Carolina, Shot Through The Heart – The Bon Jovi Experience. This is our first appearance in the region.” Our feature acts are typically from the North or East, but we are thrilled to welcome our friends from the South,” said Canal Music Fest co-author. Chairman Amy Barr said in a press release.
Shot Through the Heart is a professional tribute band that pays tribute to the music and showmanship of one of the greatest rock bands of all time, Bon Jovi. Staying true to the original recordings and playing only the greatest hits, STTH delivers an energetic concert experience. Their meticulous attention to detail clearly sets this band apart from its competitors.
The Canal Music Fest is free and open to the public. 50/50 raffle tickets will be available for purchase. Cooler boxes and backpacks are prohibited. The event is rain or shine. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets with your family and friends to the Canal Music Fest on June 10th. The festival is held in a park north of the Tip City Aquatic Center.
